Guide Training
Learn to guide on 4 different rivers
Year after year we always hear guide trainees say: “We chose Alpine Adventures because you train on more than one river.” Alpine Adventures is certified by the American Canoe Association and has trained 250+ guides over the last 20 years. Our Raft Guide Training Program is among the toughest and most thorough in Washington State. Trainees receive a training manual to aid in their education. Our instructors are amongst the best in the business and teach all aspects of river rafting on Washington State’s premier whitewater rivers. Guide instructors teach guides to read water not memorize a river. When choosing Alpine Adventures you will learn the logistics on at least 4 rivers during the class.
Our 2024 Guide Training is designed for those looking to up their skills private boating while also learning to commercially guide in Washington State. Our training program is in compliance with Washington State’s requirements that include 50 hours of on river training. Trainees will be able to hop on additional river trips during training and after the class to make sure they have enough hours and skills in order to take guests down the river. Guides will learn how to properly clean/put away rafting gear, safely blow up/store rafts during use, trailer backing up skills, swim rapids, and river rescue. Alpine Adventures enjoys hiring directly out of our guide class once completed and offers full time employment opportunities within the company. All river gear for the Guide School will be provided.
